Later, after the Q & A session that was overwhelming, the participants were brought to the factory for a product and material demonstrations that includes the testing of a full scale UHPdC beams, cylinders and other durability and flexibility test. All of the participants were amazed when ten adults were ask to stand on a UHPdC thin plank and it was not broken neither cracked and much to their amazement, the plank is able to return back to its normal position without sagging. This act is impossible for a conventional concrete what is more than a very thin 2 inch concrete. Good reviews and respond were collected after this workshop and they hope more of this material is being utilized for the benefits for the nations construction industry.
Following the presentation for JKR Kelantan in Kota Bharu on 7th April 2011, Dura Technology Sdn. Bhd. has arranged the second workshop for this state’s JKR to our plant in Chemor, Perak. In respond to their request for a factory visit. On 6th May 2011, the JKR Kelantan sent a bus of JKR engineers to Chemor, Perak for the Workshop on Sustainable Construction – Ultra-High Performance ‘ductile’ Concrete. There were 40 participants that reach our plant premise in the morning and they were presented with an hour of presentation about UHPdC.
