A group of 50 Undergraduate students of UTP with their lecturer, Prof. Ir Dr Muhd Fadhil Nuruddin came to Dura Technology Sdn. Bhd. for a technical visit. The intention of this visit mostly stem from the interest of collaborating their research on rice-husk ash (MIRHA) to UHPdC.
UHPdC is a greener material than conventional concrete, and therefore in effort to further enhance the green characteristic in UHPdC, Dr Voo who is an occasional guest lecturer in UTP took this initiative and starts a research on how to incorporate RHA into UHPdC. RHA is a by-product produced by rice milling which is high in silica. At the same time, students were introduced to UHPdC and its unique characteristics. They were also able to watch the casting of a Dura Wall.
