JKR Senior Officer 2013 Annual Meeting & Exhibition
This annual event by Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR) was held in Terengganu Equestrian Resort, Terengganu this year. It is not an exception that Dura Technology Sdn Bhd was also involved in the products exhibition. The meeting was graced and launched by the newly appointed Minister of Works, Dato Fadilah Yusof that hails from Sarawak. About 300 senior officers of JKR including State Directors attended this important annual event that is held at different state every year. Many other products distributors take this chance to showcase and make known their services and products to the related officers in the exhibition organized by the host. Dura Technology had been invited to take part in this exhibition for the fourth time. Many officers were brief about UHPC and its application, even some contractors, engineers and architects were brief about what UHPDC and Dura Technology Sdn Bhd provides because exhibition is open to public as well. The event started on 27th May 2013 for three consecutive days.
51.5m, Longest in Rantau Launched, Negeri Sembilan
On 20th May, Rantau, Negeri Sembilan again to set a new record in housing the longest UHPdC composite bridge. Breaking its past record of 50m, now the 51.5m long bridge is almost ready to serve the public. The whole project that cost at RM6.5 million which includes the construction of the new four lane road, river protection and this concrete bridge.
Official Open Ceremony for Jalan Kuala Klawang Bridge, Titi, Jelebu, NSK.
Negeri Sembilan is once again to set a new record for having the longest UHPDC Bridge. The official opening ceremony held on 29th May 2013 sees the 51m long bridge opens to the busy traffic in Jalan Kuala Klawang, Titi. This is the second Ultra-High Performance Ductile Concrete bridge by Dura Technology to be build in Negeri Sembilan. The RM5.7mil bridge project (which includes roadwork and slope protection works) connecting the town and the main road was built without the presence of intermediate supports.
Perak State Attempts to Sets New World Record
Perak state might be the next holder for the world record of having the longest ever built 100m single span bridge using the cutting edge technology of ultra-high performance concrete in the world during this time of the year in 2015, as mentioned by Perak Menteri Besar, Dato Seri Dr. Zambry Abd Kadir in a ceremonial groundbreaking yesterday (5th April 2013) at the site of Batu 6 Gerik. Also present were former Menteri Besar, Tan Sri Tajol Rosli Ghazali, State Secretary Officer, Datuk Abdul Puhat Mat Nayan, State Exco Member, Datuk Saarani Mohamad and Ketua UMNO Bahagian Gerik, Datuk Hasbullah Osman.
