3^rd December 2010 marks the history calendar of engineering in Malaysia as it is the date of the launching of Malaysia’s first ever Ultra-High Performance ‘ductile’ Concrete (UHPdC) bridge girder. This record breaking 50 m single span motorway bridge girder produced and designed by Dura Technology S/B and Perunding Faisal, Abraham dan Augustin S/B holds the marvel of engineering. To date, this bridge girder is considered as the world longest single-span prestressed UHPdC bridge girder for motorway application. The previous record was at 48 m in Japan.
    

 

Dura Technology Sdn. Bhd. welcomes yet again 20 international as far as Middle East and local postgraduates from the School of Civil Engineering of University Putra Malaysia (UPM) to our plant in Chemor, Perak. UPM being one of the universities in Malaysia that have a leading engineering faculty jointly organized a study trip to the one and only Ultra-High Performance ‘ductile’ Concrete (UHPdC) manufacturing plant in Malaysia.

 

Yang Bahagia Dato' Ir. Dr. Roslan Bin Md Taha, Director of Ministry of Work Negeri Sembilan had graciously visit Dura Technology Sdn. Bhd. in Chemor on the 26^th October 2010. It is indeed a gratifying moment as Dato’ Ir. Dr. Roslan is the second Director of State Ministry of Works that visits Dura Technology. He has brought together with him 40 other district engineers, senior engineers and designers.

 

25th October 2010, The Department of Air Bases and Maritime from The Ministry of Work Malaysia steps foot in Dura Technology Sdn. Bhd. Ipoh. The 40 participants that consists of engineers and technical assistants were brought to a product and material demonstration in the plant. They arrived in Ipoh late morning and then were treated to a sumptuous buffet lunch before heading to the plant in Chemor.

 

Recently, The Launching Ceremony of Senior Officers Meeting of Public Works Department was held in Ipoh, Perak on 7^th June and it was officiated by Y.B Dato’ Shaziman Abu Mansor , Minister of Works . Approximately, 400 senior officers from Public Works Department and divisions throughout Malaysia attended the meeting. Y.B Minister emphasizes highly on the quality improvement in soliciting public issues on their jurisdiction to become a more dynamic and progressive organization. He also added that PWD should concern on being productive and show their integrity in implementing projects under 10th Malaysian Plan.
