DURA Awarded Best International Transportation Bridge at the 2024 PCI Design Awards, Capitol Ballroom, Hyatt Regency, Denver, USA

HYATT REGENCY DENVER TECH CENTER, USA, 9 February 2024 – Dura Technology Sdn Bhd recently awarded Best International Transportation Bridge at the 2024 PCI Design Awards, Capitol Ballroom, Hyatt Regency, Denver, USA this award organized by The Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) to recognize creativity and highlight excellence in UHPC design, manufacture, or placement in the categories of Buildings or Infrastructure and additional categories the Judges deem appropriate. PCI Design Awards program recognizes design excellence and construction quality using precast concrete. The program has helped the design and construction community innovate and advance by showcasing ideas that push the envelope, overcome challenges, and improve upon existing concepts. The program demonstrates how designers are continuing to utilize high performance precast, prestressed concrete to achieve sustainable, more cost-effective, aesthetically-pleasing, and quickly constructed projects.

Dura Technology is tremendously proud to win the award for constructing the Langat River Bridge, Kuala Langat, Selangor that was completed in 2023. Built with the state-of-art technology, the Best International Transportation Bridge Award was handed to Dura’s, Lee Jun Lit. The award winners were selected by a panel of judges which are extremely experienced in the field of the industry. The Ultra-High Performance Concrete Innovation Awards celebrate the implementation and exemplary use of Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC) in buildings, structures, and non-structural applications. Awards presented for innovative technologies and progressive practices by architects, engineers, project owners and materials specialists to promote excellence in design, craftsmanship in fabrication and construction of UHPC elements.

This award is also presented for a project which Dura Technology completed Langat Bridge River in year of 2023. The project succeeds with main span 105m/344.5ft. This is one of the keys for Dura Technology proudly obtain this award.
