DURA® Technology was represented by Ts. Ir. Dr. Voo Yen Lei at the international conference Asian Scenario on Infrastructural Development 2026 (ASID 2026), organised by the Indian Concrete Institute (ICI) in Nagpur, India.
The conference was inaugurated by Nitin Gadkari, India’s Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways. In his address, he highlighted the role of knowledge and technology in infrastructure development, including the need for sustainable approaches. (UNI India)
The event was especially meaningful for Dr Voo, who shared the stage with Emeritus Professor Stephen Foster of UNSW Sydney, his former professor and mentor. Professor Foster’s guidance encouraged Dr Voo to explore ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC) through his academic research and thesis, helping set him on a path in ultra-high-performance fibre-reinforced concrete (UHPFRC).
It was a memorable reunion: mentor and former student, now fellow speakers, sharing their knowledge and experience with the international engineering community.
DURA Technology was also pleased to attend with our valued Indian partner, LONGSPAN STRUCTURES PVT LTD (LSSPL UHPFRC). We appreciate LSSPL’s continued partnership as we work together to advance UHPFRC technology and its applications in Indian infrastructure projects.
Our sincere thanks to ICI and the ASID 2026 organisers for the invitation, warm hospitality and opportunity to exchange ideas with experts from India and around the world.
We remain committed to bringing UHPFRC innovation into real-world infrastructure and supporting a more durable, sustainable future.
