KLANG, SELANGOR, 27-29 MAY 2024: The Malaysia Public Works Department (JKR) has again successfully hosted their “Persidangan Pegawai Kanan JKR Malaysia Tahun 2024 (SOC 2024)” in KSL Esplanade, Klang on 27th to 29th May 2024. This annual event was officiated by the Deputy Minister of Works, Yang Berhormat Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan with the theme of #KITAJKR: TEGUH BERDIRI, MEMENUHI HARAPAN. This chosen theme reflects the aspiration of JKR as the country’s forefront and main technical agency in the construction industry by providing the best service to all stakeholders.
This 3-days annual conference aims to provide a platform for intellectual discussions among senior JKR officers through the sharing of experiences, exploration of knowledge and for industry players to showcase new and innovative technologies to empower services towards developing a sustainable and prosperous Malaysia MADANI. 450 senior JKR officers across Malaysia participated in this year’s conference that consists of few sessions of brainstorming, technical presentations and discussions. In addition, there were also awards for the high achievers, best project management and outstanding contractors.
DURA® has been an avid participant of SOC since 2010. This year we participated with the enthusiasm of being the leader in promoting sustainable bridge technology. Aligning towards the global and Malaysia’s initiatives in sustainable development, DURA® has taken the effort to lower carbon footprints in material consumption and optimizing construction methods. It was an event-filled conference. The JKR Malaysia Senior Officers Conference 2024 (SOC 2024) ended with a session on the Presentation of Certificates of Credentials to SOC 2025 host through YBrs.
