Dura® Joint as an Ideal Solution to IBS Connections

KUALA LUMPUR: We had the privilege to present Dura® Joint product to Cawangan Kerja Pendidikan (CKP) recently at Ibu Pejabat JKR. Dura® Joint is one of our latest product developed to address the need for a high strength, high ductility, extremely durable, light and zero maintenance connectors for the IBS -Industrialized Building System. UHPC itself has embodied all of the criteria and most importantly Dura® Joint works seamlessly between precast concrete and cast in-situ UHPC.

This presentation which was held on 3 November 2022 by R&D Manager Dr. Milad, sees Dura® Joint as a stitching connections for IBS used for schools building. The adoption of IBS in schools construction as part of JKR effort has greatly reduce construction time of a project which then benefits the community. Dura® Joint has been developed and tested with time and detailing in our mind, therefore, during the presentation, all the participants were able to discuss more applications of Dura® Joint and how it can be a connection that allows the overall system to emulate a comparable cast-in-place structural system. We look forward to be able to fully utilize Dura® Joint as a solution to the IBS.
