from Malaysia’s largesthighway concessionaries – PLUS Expressway Berhad, visited Dura Technology in our HQ in Chemor, Perak. Their team which was led by Pn. Hajah Suhaina Binti Baharudin, Head of Maintenance and Project Delivery, Pn. Ir. Norhadziana Binti Jamal, Head of Highway Asset Maintenance Management, Pn. Farah Diba Binti Hashim; Head of Contract Management and Sourcing, Dr. Md Yunus Bin Ab Wahab; Technical Advisor, COO Office and En. Mustakim B Rashid; Head of Technical & Project, Edgenta Infrastructure Services (EIS/Propel) was given a presentation by R&D Manager Dr Milad on Dura® Overlay. Dura® Overlay was developed as a maintenance solution to existing pavements or roads. It is developed to reduce road closure time due to maintenance to avoid major traffic disruption and to have minimal future maintenance after Dura® Overlay among other advantages.
The team were also shown a few tests (compression, flexural, chloride attack etc.) in our lab and were brought to visit our pilot project which was done in 2021 after numerous refined development of Dura® Overlay. Many issues and ideas were shared during this four hours presentation. We are appreciative that the team from PLUS made time to get to know UHPC and has demonstrated true to their value of doing things better through continual improvements.
