YB Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi, Minister of Works was visited project in Sungai Perangin, Oriental Village, Langkawi, Kedah.

Dato’ Zahrul Hakim Bin Abdullah, Deputy Secretary General (DP), YBhg. Dato’ Ir Ahmad Redza Bin Ghulam Rasool, Director General (PWD), Ir Mohd Faisal Bin Ismail, Pengarah JKR Kedah, Ir. Ts. Khairul Azlan Bin Abdulah, Jurutera Daerah Langkawi come visited of infrastructure projects in the Langkawi district, Kedah, Bridge Sungai Perangin, Oriental Village which has been approved in the Rolling Plan Project List 4, RMKe 11 under the Prime Minister’s Department.

Presentation by Muhamad Nizam Bin Nasruddin about Ultra-High-Performance Fiber Reinforced Concrete (UHPFRC) to educate about UHFPRC and to create an understanding on its applications as to how it can be more sustainable compared to current technology and introduction of Dura company. One of the purposes of this visit was alternative design to Dura products because to provide a more UHPC is being considered for use in a wide variety of highway infrastructure applications and give solution to them. The high compressive and tensile strengths allow for the redesign and optimization of structural elements compare with the normal concrete. Also, Dura products sustainability and environment friendly development using Ultra-High-Performance Fibre-Reinforced Concrete (UHPFRC). The advantages of UHPFRC are high performance concrete, low carbon footprint, affordable and superior durability. UHPFRC are materials with a cement matrix, and a characteristic compressive strength between 150 MPa and 200 MPa. They contain steel fibres, in order to achieve ductile behaviour in tension and if possible, the use of passive reinforcement.

In the end of the session, YB Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi, Minister of Work and others was impress and have interest in using Dura’s products in future that he believe will bring benefit to the government and the citizens of a country also Dura product is very environmental to the world.
